Window Films For New Businesses

American Solar Tinting Window Films New Businesses

Window films are perfect for new businesses because they can protect the business while offering potential customers information about it.

There are many different ways that your business can benefit from window films. Window films can be used to increase privacy inside your business, block harmful UV energy that can damage goods and drive up cooling costs, and be a valuable marketing tool. These benefits don’t have to wait for your business to be well-established either. If you are just starting out, or if you’re in the process of changing locations, you can use window films on the windows during construction and set up as well. In fact, you’ve probably seen businesses do this many times and never thought much of it: “Coming Soon” and “Pardon our dust while we remodel” are often emblazoned across windows during periods of construction. Let’s explore some interesting ways that you could use and benefit from window clings, specifically during periods of construction or renovation.

Blocking Views

The most common use for window films during renovations or construction is to block people’s view of the work. This isn’t done to be secretive necessarily, but more often done because any work-in-progress is typically messy, and it might ruin the feel of the rest of the mall or shopping center. It also gives the construction workers or store staff (during set up) some privacy as they work. To achieve this, should be totally opaque from the outside, either mirrored or decorative. They could be opaque from both sides or be a one-way-vision film – as long as the film is opaque from the outside, it will conceal the unsightly mess of construction or renovation.

Building Interest

To make the most of the films that are obscuring views inside your construction zone, you should design the visible side intentionally. First, you should make sure that your brand and logo are clearly visible. But this space is also a great canvas for building interest in what is to come. You could do that by including images of the business that you’re building, the goods or services you plan to offer, or asking questions that make people curious to know more.

Answering Questions

You can also use the space to answer questions about the construction. This could be as simple as a “coming soon!” sign with your logo. If this is a remodel rather than a new business, you could explain what is changing and what people should expect once you reopen, either in words, images, or a combination.

Protecting The Windows

Finally, the other thing that window films do during construction is to protect the glass from scratches and paint splatter. Make sure that the films are installed on the inside and are installed professionally so that they truly fit the dimensions of the windows. Since these will come down once you open (or reopen), you don’t have to stress if paint splashes on the back of it.
